Legal information
Terms of use
The rules for using this website and for information you send through its forms. Effective from 10 October 2026. This is a translation; the Azerbaijani text prevails.
1.Who runs this website
tto.az is owned by Texnologiya Transfer Ofisi LLC (tax ID: 4503954561; e-mail: info@tto.az). TTO operates within the Vantage Events group of companies.
Law «On Information, Informatisation and Protection of Information», Article 13-2.2.
2.When these terms apply
You do not have to accept anything to read the website. When you tick the consent box on a form, you confirm that you have read these terms and the privacy policy.
Civil Code, Article 418.1.
3.The website is not an offer
Our services, packages, catalogue and other information are an invitation to make an offer and create no obligation to contract. A legal relationship between us arises only from a signed contract. Price, timing and scope are agreed separately for each piece of work.
Civil Code, Articles 408.2 and 409.3.
4.Information on the website is not advice
- The legal guides, glossary and questions give general information. They do not replace the opinion of a lawyer or patent attorney.
- The revenue calculator and the readiness self-check give only an estimate. The real split and decision are set in the contract and the assessment.
- Every catalogue entry marked «Sample» shows how the catalogue works and is not a real technology.
- National strategy targets are taken from official documents. «Our contribution» lines describe our aims, not results achieved.
- Vantage Task screenshots were taken with sample data.
We try to keep the information accurate. Laws change, so every guide shows the date it was last checked.
5.TTO is not a patent attorney
TTO as a company is not a patent attorney. Representation before the Intellectual Property Agency and preparation of applications are, where needed, carried out by a patent attorney entered in the state register. Only the Agency decides whether a patent is granted.
Law «On Patents», Articles 6.1 and 27.2.
6.Sending inventions and technical information
- Put only a short, non-confidential summary in the form. We ask for detailed technical information after a confidentiality agreement (NDA) is signed.
- Until an NDA is signed, what you send is not under a trade-secret regime. Even so, we use it only to review your request and do not pass it on.
- Information given to us in confidence is not information available to everyone, so it should not harm the invention's novelty. Do not publish an article or presentation before the patent application.
- In Azerbaijan an invention keeps its novelty for 12 months after you disclose it yourself. Many other countries have no such grace period.
- A patent application abroad is possible only after an application has been filed in Azerbaijan.
- You confirm that you are entitled to share what you send: your co-inventors and, where relevant, your employer know about it.
- Sending a form does not transfer any rights in the invention to TTO. Rights can change only by a separate written contract.
Law «On Commercial Secrets», Articles 6.4 and 7.1; Law «On Patents», Articles 7.3, 7.5, 13.3 and 41.
7.Texts, design and names
The website's texts, design, graphics and code are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages if you name the author and the source (the website address). For wider use, ask for written permission.
Laws and official documents are not protected by copyright. We refer to them and link to the official text.
The TTO name, logo and website design are our company's trade name and distinctive features. Do not use them in a way that could cause confusion.
Some photographs on the website were generated with artificial intelligence and are labelled as such.
Law «On Copyright and Related Rights», Articles 7 and 19; Civil Code, Article 50.2; Competition Code, Articles 22.1.3-22.1.4; Law «On Information, Informatisation and Protection of Information», Article 13-2.7.
8.What is not allowed
- Sending automated requests that disrupt the website or downloading its content in bulk.
- Planting malicious code or trying to get around security measures.
- Creating fake pages in TTO's name.
- Sending information that infringes someone else's rights or that the law prohibits.
If these rules are broken, we may restrict access to the website.
9.Links to other websites
The website links to official sources such as e-qanun.az and to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; once you follow a link, that site's own rules apply.
10.Liability
We do not guarantee that the website will work without interruption or errors. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit, from decisions based on general information on the website.
This limitation does not apply to harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence. We are not liable for events beyond our control that could not be foreseen (force majeure).
Civil Code, Articles 448.2 and 448.4.
11.Reporting unlawful content
If you see content on the website that infringes your rights or the law, write to info@tto.az. We will review it and remove the content or restrict access to it.
Law «On Information, Informatisation and Protection of Information», Article 13-2.4.
12.Changes to these terms
When we update these terms we change the date above and keep earlier versions. A new version does not apply retroactively to a form you have already sent. We announce significant changes separately on the website.
13.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We first try to settle any dispute by negotiation and reply to a written complaint within 30 days. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is resolved by an Azerbaijani court in accordance with the law.
Where a signed contract (for example an NDA or licence agreement) sets its own dispute procedure, that procedure applies.
Civil Procedure Code, Articles 40.2-40.3.
14.Contact
Questions about these terms: info@tto.az. Use of the Vantage Task system is governed by a separate contract.
